 Ah, April!

The month where the sun starts to remember its job, flowers stage their grand comeback tour, and we all collectively pretend to love the smell of fresh-cut grass (even if it makes us sneeze).

With spring in full swing, the world feels like it's shaking off the last remnants of winter’s gloom. Birds are back to yelling their little hearts out at sunrise, the days are getting longer, and somewhere, a squirrel is making questionable life choices involving a bird feeder.

For book lovers like me, spring means the perfect excuse to take my reading outdoors - soaking in some sunshine with a new contemporary romance or a thriller that’ll have me suspicious of my own shadow.

For tennis fans, it's prime clay court season, where sliding across the dirt somehow looks both graceful and chaotic (looking at you, Monte Carlo Masters).

April also brings its fair share of unpredictability - one day, it’s picnic weather; the next, you're contemplating a scarf. But hey, that’s part of the charm, right? A little bit of mystery, a little bit of renewal, and a whole lot of caffeine-fuelled optimism.

So here’s to new beginnings, fresh air, and whatever surprises April has in store. May your coffee be strong, your books be unputdownable, and your allergies mercifully mild.

Happy Spring! 🌷✨

I actually DO love the smell of fresh mown grass - I even bought an essential oil called Fresh Mown Grass back in the days when I was mixing my own, natural cleaning products and used a variety of herbal scents. These days I just use Mrs Meyer’s, which may not be quite as natural, but smell heavenly!
